2020 newspad Awards

Thank you to everyone who has submitted entries for the 2020 newspad all-employee share plan awards. The results were announced during the Centre’s first on-line Annual Share Plans Symposium 24 March 2021 and details will be published in the April 2021 issue of newspad.

The newspad awards recognise the achievements of companies which offer employee share plans and hold up best practice models for other companies to follow.

The finalists who were nominated for one or more of seven categories were:

Best share plan adaption to the Covid crisis
winner: Daily Mail & General Trust

Outstanding company leader (for chairman or ceo personally associated with company plans)
winner: Liv Garfield ceo of Severn Trent

Company whose employee share ownership impacts most on company success
Winner – Siemens Energy

The winners were decided by three impartial judges, experts in the use of employee equities, plus Malcolm Hurlston CBE, founder of the Esop Centre.
