Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s Esop Centre Employee Share Schemes and Trustees Conference, held in partnership with STEP Jersey, Friday 13 May 2022, at the Pomme d’Or hotel in St Helier.
With the international reach of trustees and the growth in the establishment of employee ownership trusts, it has never been more important for those interested in employee share schemes and trusteeship to stay informed with expert views and enjoy the continuing education which our conferences and seminars offer.
We are delighted that we were joined by Jersey Information Commissioner Paul Vane, whose keynote speech on emerging threats and opportunities and data protection in Jersey and on the international stage, is reported in full in the Pamphleteers Blog.
Other talks, including: H M Revenue & Customs has had a lot of catching up to do while unravelling the mess left behind after Covid – Paul Malin, PMC; Recent developments in employee share schemes and content on Spring Statement announcements – Graham Muir, CMS; Employee Trusts: a look back at their uses and abuses – David Pett, Temple Tax Chambers; Current economic climate and international regulation – Helen Hatton, Central Associates Limited; Why employee share ownership matters – Professor Michael Mainelli, Z/Yen Group Limited, are reported in the June edition of newspad.
The programme was drafted to provide relevant technical information, which we trust will be acceptable as counting towards your Continuing Professional Development or Continuing Competence.
The presentations ran from 09:00 to 13:15 (approx.) followed by a lunch for delegates and speakers.
